Inauguration Day 2009

On Sunday, February 19, 2009 we visited the Oklahoma City National Memorial and Museum

Lighted chairs a symbol of those that lost their life.

The gates of time 9:01 - 9:03

Another picture of the empty chairs.

9:02 a moment that will stand still forever between the gates of time.

Eric's sister Gretchen and Eric's nephew Michael and the boys standing at the reflecting pool.

We will never forget....the children's tiles.

On this day as President elect Barak Obama is set to swear in...and yesterday, being Martin Luther King Jr. Day, I wanted to share with you what we did on Sunday. Eric's sister Gretchen her son Michael came to see us this past weekend. They are traveling to Las Vegas..check out her caddymom blog and follow their journey. We always like to take visitors to our state to the memorial and always I am moved by the awe of that place. Let us now pray for our President as he takes office that God will protect him and his family. Let us never forget all those that have given of their lives to this great country.
GOD BLESS AMERICA!

Oh how sweet to remember our trip to visit you! Thank you for all of your hospitality (especially for the boys to have given up their beds for us) and for being such splendid tour guides as we went to Coles Gardens, Walnut Creek, the OKC Memorial and your lovely Spot for Tea. We were blown away by the beauty and extent of your enterprises!
