Visit Walnut Creek Chapel's blog

If you would like to see the weddings we've been catering this summer...visit Walnut Creek Chapel's blog. Charlotte Nease (co-owner and blogger extraordinaire) has been keeping the wedding blog busy this summer. It's fun to visit other blogs and see the pictures of special events from their point of view. We're proud to be a vendor for Walnut Creek Chapel brides.

Keep Calm & Carry On

As the owner of A Spot For Tea I think this says it all.

During the Second World War the British Government appointed the Ministry of Information to design and display these morale boosting posters across the British Isles during the testing times that lay ahead.

Likewise, Paul writes in Philippians 1:6 "Being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus."

Kailyn Swadley's 5th Birthday Party

Kailyn Swadley's 5th Birthday party
Saturday, July 10th at 1:30pm

Kailyn and her parents Brent & Melanie Swadley

I have a funny story to tell. Anyone from OKC knows Swadley's Barbecue. Brent asked us about our appetizer's and wanted to see our menu. He did try our Earl Grey Sandwich (which is barbecue brisket) and he said it was excellent. I take that as an extreme compliment from the man who KNOWS barbecue. If you are from another part of the country it may seem laughable to have barbecue on a tearoom menu but in Oklahoma you better have options for the gentlemen besides cucumber sandwiches. This coming from a mom of 3 boys.

Kailyn is Brent and Melanie's only daughter they also have 2 sons and Melanie said she wanted to have a tea party with Kailyn since she was born at A Spot For Tea. It was an honor to host the first family of OKC barbecue to tea.

Having Tea in Paris

Having tea in Paris?
Virtual reality TEA...don't you wish we were wearing hats and drinking tea in Paris?
This morning in my journal I wrote...I wish I could get back some of the magic in my heart that inspired the dreaming and the hope that anything was possible, the imagination and believing that helped create A Spot For Tea in the first place. Sometimes the business side can weigh down heavy on the creative side.
Where would you be today if you could do some creative dreaming?
I know I would be drinking a cup of tea with my journal.

Camdyn's Tea Party

Thank you note from Miss Camdyn
Camdyn & Tammy

Camdyn and her guests at her 5th birthday party.
There are moments when I know I am the one who gets the gift of the unexpected.
Meet my new friend Camdyn who turned five years old. Camdyn is a very special young lady who truly made my day with her sweet smile and loving personality.
Psalm 17:6-8 I call on You, O God, for You will answer me; give ear to me and hear my prayer. show the wonder of Your great love...Keep me as the apple of Your eye; hide me in the shadow of Your wings."
I know Camdyn is the apple of God's eye.
