Gingerbread Cookies
1 cup soft butter
1 cup sugar
1 cup molasses
5 cups flour
2 tsp. baking soda
3 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cloves
1/2 cup cold tea (you got to love the tea in it)
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp Vanilla
Cream together butter and sugar. Beat in molasses. Add dry ingredients alternately with tea. Mix well. Add vanilla. Chill for 24 hours. Roll out 1/4" thick and cut. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Bake for 8-10 minutes. Remove from cookie sheets and cool on wire racks. Decorate or eat just plain.
