World Tea Expo - May 30 - June 1, 2008

Tammy & Ashlie right after their seminar

"This Isn't Your Grandma's Tearoom"

The seminar was a success. We had many questions afterwards about

how we operate a Tea Event Center with 14,000 square feet.

We are still spinning from the excitement of all the festivities.

Bellagio Hotel (beautiful side of Las Vegas)! And yes,
after our speech I rode the roller coaster at New York New York Hotel
that can be seen below by the Statue of Liberty viva Las Vegas!

Right outside the Expo floor...sorry no pictures could be taken inside.
The view from the Bellagio to Paris.

Couldn't resist taking pictures of these beautiful pastries...perfect with a cup of tea.

The silver tea urns for our tea service...every day there was another sampling of great teas.

Have you read "The Ultimate Tea Diet" book?...well,
dr.teas has some delicious samples...our favorite was caramel.

Expo was still strong despite challenging economy

...reported in World Tea News. By the end of the second day of World Tea Expo, management was reporting that the number of registered attendees was slightly above that of last year - a noteworthy accomplishment in an economic environment that's causing attendance at most tradeshows to shrink. Preliminary projections as of Saturday night were for 4,200 delegates. The show floor features 300 exhibiting companies occupying 32,000 net square feet.

Overheard at the Expo......

"That's music to our ears."

- Basudeve Banerjee, chairman, Tea Board of India,
commenting on the trend of more interest in origin among U.S retailers

"Every time you drink a cup of tea,
look deeply into it and be mindful of the
people who grew it and picked it and brought it to you."

- Bruce Richardson, owner of
Elmwood Fine Teas and Benjamin Press, during his Tea 101 session.

Psalms 36:5-6 "Commit your way to the Lord.
Trust also in Him, and He will do it.
And He will bring forth your righteousness as the light."
